In a recently published article in the ASME Journal of Heat and Mass Transfer, researcher Elif Asar and Prof. Jamal Yagoobi discuss the new drying model that was developed to numerically study porous media with excess water and extend previous drying models’ capabilities. The name of the article is “Drying of a Fully Saturated Porous Medium With Excess Water Layers: A Numerical Study.”

This research reveals that developing next-generation drying technologies may require an understanding of removing moisture from a fully saturated porous material with excess water.
