Ramin Nemati Earns 3rd Place at IFT FIRST

We are delighted to share that CARD researcher, Ramin Nemati, a PhD student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, placed 3rd at IFT FIRST, the largest global food science and innovation expo. The event was held in Chicago, IL, July 13 – 16, 2024.
He presented his work on “Non-Destructive Characterization of Wheat-Based Food Microstructure Using X-Ray Micro-Computed Tomography and Image Processing Techniques.”
His advisor at UIUC is Dr. Pawan Takhar.
