We are pleased to announce the following winners of CARD’s Fall 2024 poster competition that was held at CARD’s Industry Advisory Board meeting, October 9-11, 2024 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester, MA.

Featured left to right are Hanshen Yu (honorable mention), Ocean Monjur (2nd place), Mana Masrouri (1st place), Yanyao Yu (3rd place).

• 1st Place: Mana Masrouri, WPI – “EHD Driven Heat Pump for Low and Moderate Temperatures – A Novel Drying Technology”
• 2nd Place: Ocean Monjur, UIUC – “Drying process endpoint and product quality monitoring using optical sensing and machine learning”
• 3rd Place: Yanyao Yu, UIUC – “Atmospheric Plasma Pre-Treatments for Enhanced Drying”
• Honorable Mention: Hanshen Yu, WPI – “Infrared (IR) Drying with Filtering for Deeper Energy Penetration in Paper Drying”.
