We are pleased to share that CARD researcher and WPI student, Mehrnoush Famil Dardashti, successfully defended her PhD entitled, “Misting of Liquid and Dehydration of Moist Porous Media with Direct and Airborne Ultrasonic Wave – a Fundamental and Applied Study” on December 9th, 2024. Her research combines a fundamental understanding of ultrasonic atomization and integration of drying processes with sustainable innovations, offering energy-efficient solutions for liquid misting and drying of porous materials to enhance efficiency and product quality in various industries.

Her advisor was Professor Jamal Yagoobi.
